Zachaus Winzler furthered this innovation by using gas for heating and cooking, leading to James Sharp’s creation of the first gas oven model in 1834.

The Electric Revolution:
In 1896, William Hadaway received the first patent for an electric oven, a significant leap in culinary technology. However, widespread adoption in homes didn’t occur until the late 1920s when the practical application of electricity improved. Today, electric ovens have evolved into sophisticated appliances, with double wall ovens, electric ranges, and even microwave ovens offering a plethora of cooking options.

The Microwaves Emergence:
Microwaves, now a staple in kitchens worldwide, were invented in the 1940s. Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer, discovered microwave beam heating qualities during a radar research project. This breakthrough paved the way for diverse cooking options beyond conventional ovens and stovetops.

Stainless steel, double wall ovens, electric ranges, and microwave ovens have become integral components of modern kitchens, providing an array of cooking options for diverse culinary preferences.
